One week to go

Not really much to tell, but we have done lots of work. Dick, Lauren the Radiant Intern and I repacked the ammo boxes and the field desk and tidied the equipment bay. This took place the day the weather finally broke, so we were terribly hot before lunch and much cooler by the end of the day. Last Wednesday, Mikey entirely tidied off the counter at the dry, clean end of the lab (never seen so much surface before!) while I rearranged the green metal bookcases containing a couple of tons of kibble from July, 2000 (half processed and half not). Amanda, who is an intern belonging to the Sargent Museum, did amazing work tidying the kitchen area. Now, if only we could find time to vacuum...

Thursday, Lauren and Dick and I visited Vicky B's palatial, clean, tidy office in Alton to look at finds from the Eddy site. That site, only 4 meters square, produced lots of pottery and a fair amount of worked stone, so our hopes for Neville 2 remain high.
