It's been awhile

It was not a thrilling spring. We did a little dig near Concord Airport to confirm Woodland and Archaic sites found in the Karner Blue Butterfly habitat area, but that area is protected, so there is no need for further work there anytime soon. It took a long time to get through last summer's finds, and now we are working on cataloguing stuff from older field schools: the 2000 hornfels quarry that Will Not Die, and pottery from the Ingalls site back in '94, I think.

The entries that follow are my dig diary from the middle session of the 2006 Field School in Colebrook, NH. I will be returning, all going well, for the final week from July 31 to August 4.
