In honor of Fathers' (and Mothers') Day

The 2007 Field School starts next week. Last week, the many hands and eyes of Lab finished processing the finds from the 2000 Field School, a hornfels quarry in Ossipee. A lesson to us all in how much kibble you really need to bring home. And if you must, have it be chert, or possibly rhyolight. Not something that weathers to a soft (Mohs and Munsell both) gray and dries out your skin and looks terrible even if you get it clean.
