Channeling flakes
I should put up a picture. I will, when the longed-for, they-are-all-tagged day arrives and we make a Pretty design like the museum on the mall

with the 30-odd channel flakes from this summer's field school. In the meantime, I get to be up close with each one, making a mugshot for the back of the catalogue cards. I have been having computer problems at work, but not at the lab, yet it may be the overdose of control keys in my life that is making it hard for me to count the number of centimeters' worth of graph paper in the background of each one.
The truck needs to go North once before we pack the second load for Octoberfest. And the nights are growing colder. It isn't winter till Octoberfest is over.
That's when you ask Dick where field school will be.
